With the client’s safety as our top priority, our aviation doctor will assess and recommend the most suitable mode of transfer. This recommendation will be based on available options and relevant airline regulations, including those set by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Air Ambulance
Our partner air ambulance company operates 24/7, providing emergency flights to guarantee a quick response, safe operations, and efficient care. Our doctors, specializing in aviation medicine, will thoroughly assess the patient's condition and collaborate with the air ambulance team—including doctors, nurses, pilots, and logistics staff—to ensure the best possible arrangement for the patient’s transfer.
GROUND Ambulance
Our extensive road ambulance network in Thailand, combined with our global partnerships, enables us to deploy and operate ambulances in Thailand and anywhere in the world that the service is available. The road ambulance will transport the patient to the nearest medical facility for treatment or stabilize the patient before evacuation using the most appropriate mode of transport.
Commercial flight
Patients certified by their treating physician as fit to travel on a commercial flight may require medical assistance from a doctor or nurse during their journey. Our aviation specialists will work closely with the treating physician to assess the patient's condition and determine the most suitable level of support, whether it’s being escorted by a doctor, nurse, or both, depending on whether the patient is flying in First, Business, or Economy class.
Once the travel recommendation is made, our team will coordinate with the airline to secure approval for the patient’s transport. A detailed medical report, including the patient's medical history and current condition, will be submitted to the airline’s medical team for review. This process typically takes a few days. Throughout, our team will facilitate communication between the patient, the treating physician, the airline’s medical team, and the receiving hospital or residence to ensure all necessary information is conveyed, ensuring the best possible preparation for the patient’s journey.
*The final decision on whether the patient can fly is at the discretion of the airline.
STRETCHER
This mode of transportation is recommended for patients who are unable to sit upright during travel due to their condition. The patient will be transferred on a stretcher, and our medical escort (a doctor, nurse, or both) will provide continuous care throughout the journey. Our team will accompany the patient from the start of the trip and ensure a safe handover to the medical team at the destination hospital.
Sitting Sick
Patient safety and condition are the top priorities. If the patient is able to sit upright for extended periods (e.g., during airplane takeoff and landing or while maneuvering through the airport terminal, including check-in and immigration processes), it is recommended that the patient travel as a seated passenger, accompanied by a qualified doctor or nurse escort.

As a regional aviation hub, Thailand plays a key role in patient transport. Our escorts have participated in air ambulance and commercial flight evacuations, facilitating the transfer of patients between Thailand and neighboring countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam. Thailand serves as a critical connecting point, where patients are prepared for their journey to other parts of the world.
ENGLAND
We collaborated with a family in the UK to assist a British patient who had been admitted to a nursing home in Bangkok, arranging for his transfer back to the UK to reunite with his family. This was during the period when COVID quarantine restrictions were beginning to ease. Our team worked closely with the Visa Center to secure the necessary travel documents and coordinated with the family to determine the best mode of transportation. We recommended a business class seat on a commercial flight, with a nurse escort, to ensure the patient's comfort and safety throughout the journey.
FRANCE
Paris to Bangkok
GERMANY
The patient’s husband selected a Thai team to escort his wife from Munich, Germany, back to Thailand. We coordinated with the local treating doctor to obtain the patient’s medical information, assess her condition, and collaborate with all relevant parties, including the airlines, ground ambulance, and ground handling services, to ensure everything was in place. Ultimately, our team successfully escorted the patient on a stretcher aboard a commercial flight from Munich to Thailand, where she was safely admitted to a hospital and began her gradual recovery.
GUYANA
This was one of the most complex cases that ultimately resulted in a successful outcome. Guyana, located on the northern coast of South America, is far from Bangkok, and there are no direct commercial flights between Bangkok and Georgetown, the capital of Guyana. Additionally, our client was bedridden and required constant oxygen support. Due to financial constraints, an air ambulance, the most suitable option but with a very high cost, was not feasible. Despite this, the team and client’s family worked patiently and took the initiative to coordinate a solution by combining stretcher service on commercial flights with an air ambulance company in Colombia.

NEW ZEALAND
We were honored to be part of a mission to escort a New Zealand gentleman from a nursing home in Pattaya, Thailand, to Auckland, New Zealand. This mission marked a deeply emotional reunion: as a father, he would be reunited with his daughter; as a grandfather, he would be welcomed by his grandchildren and great-grandchild. After consultations between the treating doctor and our aviation specialist, it was decided that he would be transferred in business class on a commercial flight, with onboard oxygen support. Over the course of the nearly 20-hour journey, from departure at the nursing home to check-in at the airline and through airport procedures, our doctor and nurse provided exceptional care, ensuring the patient’s comfort and well-being at every stage of the trip.
