MT Assistance Co., Ltd. (MTA), a Thai, doctor-and-nurse-led company based in Bangkok, Thailand, specializing in safe, professional, and cost-conscious medical transport for patients worldwide. With over 20 years of experience, we facilitate seamless bed-to-bed transfers via air and ground, ensuring patients receive the highest level of medical care throughout their journey.
At MTA, we provide:
Patient assessment and travel recommendations, determining the most suitable transport mode.
Medical escort services, providing highly trained doctors or nurses to accompany patients on commercial flights.
Ground and air transport coordination, including ambulances, commercial flights, and fully equipped air ambulances.
Medical clearance facilitation, submitting necessary documents to airlines for approval.
Cost-effective solutions, balancing budget concerns while upholding global medical standards in safety and care.
Our dedicated 24/7 team consists of highly trained doctors and nurses with recognized certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and Aeromedical Transport). We have successfully completed medical transfers to and from Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States, and beyond.
Above all, we believe that medical transport is not just about logistics—it is about providing care with dignity, empathy, and professionalism. Rooted in the principles of Thai hospitality, we combine world-class medical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Our team is committed to providing not only the highest standard of care but also warmth and reassurance throughout the journey.
Our partner air ambulance company operates 24/7, providing emergency flights to guarantee a quick response, safe operations, and efficient care. Our doctors, specializing in aviation medicine, will thoroughly assess the patient's condition and collaborate with the air ambulance team—including doctors, nurses, pilots, and logistics staff—to ensure the best possible arrangement for the patient’s transfer.
Our extensive road ambulance network in Thailand, combined with our global partnerships, enables us to deploy and operate ambulances in Thailand and anywhere in the world that the service is available. The road ambulance will transport the patient to the nearest medical facility for treatment or stabilize the patient before evacuation using the most appropriate mode of transport.
Patients certified by their treating physician as fit to travel on a commercial flight may require medical assistance from a doctor or nurse during their journey. Our aviation specialists will work closely with the treating physician to assess the patient's condition and determine the most suitable level of support, whether it’s being escorted by a doctor, nurse, or both, depending on whether the patient is flying in First, Business, or Economy class.
Once the travel recommendation is made, our team will coordinate with the airline to secure approval for the patient’s transport. A detailed medical report, including the patient's medical history and current condition, will be submitted to the airline’s medical team for review. This process typically takes a few days. Throughout, our team will facilitate communication between the patient, the treating physician, the airline’s medical team, and the receiving hospital or residence to ensure all necessary information is conveyed, ensuring the best possible preparation for the patient’s journey.
*The final decision on whether the patient can fly is at the discretion of the airline.
This mode of transportation is recommended for patients who are unable to sit upright during travel due to their condition. The patient will be transferred on a stretcher, and our medical escort (a doctor, nurse, or both) will provide continuous care throughout the journey. Our team will accompany the patient from the start of the trip and ensure a safe handover to the medical team at the destination hospital.
Patient safety and condition are the top priorities. If the patient is able to sit upright for extended periods (e.g., during airplane takeoff and landing or while maneuvering through the airport terminal, including check-in and immigration processes), it is recommended that the patient travel as a seated passenger, accompanied by a qualified doctor or nurse escort.
Our escorts have successfully escorted patients to their homes in cities across Australia, including Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, and Canberra.
Our escort team, doctor and nurse, transferred a patient in a stretcher on commercial flight from Bangkok to Hong Kong, China
